The amazing new Changing Place in Banbury’s Castle Quay shopping centre has officially opened!!
We have set up our first stall at the Let’s Play sports day.
I’d like to welcome to new members to our team – Kat L and Kirsty. Two formidable women that’ll help us work towards a more accessible Banbury.
Our article about badly needed Changing Places in Banbury!
Kat was asked by BBC Radio Oxford to discuss the campaign for a changing place on the David Prever Breakfast Show.

There are currently no changing places available in Banbury which have a changing bench and hoist.
We believe the new Castle Quay 2 development would be an ideal opportunity to include a changing place and have made enquiries to its developers and Cherwell District Council but sadly they are not planning to include any public toilets within the project. There will be some toilets within the new restaurants and hotel, but none with suitable changing facilities for those which cannot use standard disabled toilets.
Therefore we have started a local campaign to raise awareness of the issues involved with the aim of getting a changing place installed in Banbury. This currently consists of a petition and discussions with councillors, developers, local business owners and the media. Please get in touch with us if you can help in any way.
Great news – all Cherwell District Council owned car parks are now free for blue badge holders.
